It's me Mario ...

It's been such a long time since the days when Mario used to be just a few colorful pixels but nonetheless I'll never forget when I was able to beat the game "Super Mario Bros." and finally rescue the helpless princess, I can never remember how many levels and castles I went through but it was sure cool and frustating.
After that version of Mario it wouldn't be until later on when Nintendo released it's version of "Super Mario World" that I once more got interested in playing. This game introduce a whole bunch of Yoshis and you had a world to conquer. I used to love using the 'blue' Yoshi and for those who used to play this game you probably know why.
Now in days, I only play "Mario kart" on Nintendo Wii and I have to say nothing beats playing as Mario.... who would have known that this little fictional character would become one of the most famous characters in video game history back in 1981. To think that when he first appeared in the arcade game "Donkey Kong" his name was "Jumpman" hahahahahaha
"Its me Mario ....."!!!

Lamento Boliviano

I think the first time I heard this song was back in 1995 on an old FM/AM radio casette player, I actually did record this song on a tape cassette, but we all know how much those lasted . It wasn't until later, in the days where file sharing started as a free open source to all users, that I started to listen to a variety of songs, and to my delight someone had a complete collection of the "Enanitos Verdes".
Lamento Boliviano was released in 1994, part of a collection of song in their CD "Big Bang". Most people have different interpretations of "Lamento Boliviano" depending how they look at it. I heard so many different opinions and some even connect it to the "Guerra del Pacifico" a war that took place between 1879 - 1884 between Chile, Peru and Bolivia. For some including myself I think this song tells us a story of how hard it is when you fall in love. I'm sure we all been "there" and done "that" and maybe we are still doing "that" but it is sure nice to share and enjoy the music.
Recently, I had the opportunity to listen to los "Enanitos Verdes" Live in Boston with an excellent and hermosa persona that I love, and to my delight they played this song that I listened to possibly a million times but it will never get old.

Katie and I right before it got packed like this: these three guys sure know how to put up a show!
